Student-Driven Campus Design
At the beginning of this project I felt challenged for this project. But when I started I felt like that there were very minor and easy things to do. As if we were reflecting what we learned in 1st-9th grade. I did like the fact that we made many prototypes in our group. I felt like I had the best group because we all kind've became friends and it was easy to get work done because we have communication.
I have learned that its a lot easier to make prototypes than what I think they can be. I used to think that prototypes are a rough sketch of an idea but you have a couple. Then you drive on and make the prototype real. But our group all put our ideas together we made prototypes that we have made then we have combined them together to make at least 15 or more prototypes.
I didn't really do much of sketch up but when we did it was a little too late to create high quality school building because it was so detailed. We did mange to get most of the classroom designs and small part of a library. we learned that stuff in our classrooms were indeed floating a inch or so off the ground. I don't know if we used photoshop because I was gone for a couple of days and my group did a lot more when I was gone. I learned about how much it can cost to get the right martial and how you may have to change plans in order to get sustainable . Budget was easy to learn and to make maybe I'm good at math... Never mind.
Probably the hardest thing in this project was when the internet was down and we had everything on a google account. None of us had Google download so we couldn't get our work in the mornings. Instead we had to do it at home and bring it to school. Which is a little bit annoying but I felt like that our group had enough trust in each other that we wouldn't have to worry about it.
I feel like that a group needs a strong voice in order to pass their idea. Otherwise the groups idea would disappear. Its just common sense not to write down ideas or at least make a prototype of it so you can stick with it or remember it.
